AGRICULTURAL BIODIVERSITY

Our research takes place at the crossroad of plant physiology, endophytic fungi and plant-insect ecology, with particular focus on agricultural settings. We draw particular attention to the chemical ecology that underpins species interactions, investigating how both biological and environmental elements can reshape plant metabolites and the chemical dialogues between interconnected organisms. We specialize in phytohormones and their pivotal role in governing plant defense compounds like alkaloids, phenolics, and volatile organic compounds. Our research significance lies in the holistic approach, contributing to an understanding of the broader ecological implications of agrochemical use, fostering awareness, challenging current norms, and providing insights for sustainable approaches to address global challenges.
